Perceptions Gala to Benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters

Perceptions Saginaw Valley will host its 12th Annual Holiday Gala and Charity Auction on December 7th from 6 p.m. to Midnight at Apple Mountain Resort located at 4519 N. River Road in Freeland, Michigan. The event will feature an array of activities to celebrate the season and raise money for two local non-profit organizations, Perceptions Saginaw Valley and this year's LGBT- supporting non-profit, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Tickets can be purchased via credit card online at http://perceptionsSV.org/holidayparty or by cash or check from a Perceptions, Saginaw Valley or Saginaw Valley or Big Brothers Big Sisters representative. Advanced ticket prices are $35 a person or $20 for college students with student ID at the door.

Highlights of the evening include a dinner buffet, program, live auction, silent auction, 50-50, photo booth, ugly sweater competition, jazz quartet, dancing, and other entertainment venues. Suggested attire is business or formal.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region provides life-changing mentoring relationships to children in Saginaw, Bay, Midland and Isabella Counties. The program matches children who live in a single-parent household, or in poverty, one-to-one with positive adult role models who helps them try new things, gain new perspectives and dream big. Perceptions selected Big Brothers Big Sisters as its 2013 non-profit designee as it is an excellent resource for children of lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or transgender parents, or for children who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual  or transgender, who seek a supportive adult role model. Perceptions Saginaw Valley is proud to recognize and partner with Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region by contributing to it 50% of the evening's net profits in an effort to support the agency’s “1,000 Starts With One” campaign- an effort to match 1,000 children in the region with positive adult role models.
